1. What is the difference between razor wire and ordinary barbed wire?

Standard barbed wire uses two twisted wires with small metal barbs. Razor wire replaces those simple barbs with longer, stamped steel blades in hook or saw-tooth shapes, mounted on a high-tensile core (≥ 1200 MPa). The blade geometry makes climbing or cutting significantly harder, providing stronger physical obstruction and visual deterrence. This is why it is preferred for high-risk facilities such as prisons, military zones, and border barriers.

2. What coil diameter and coverage options are available?

Bangjun coil diameters range from 300 mm to 1100 mm. Each coil typically covers 8 m to 16 m of perimeter; custom coverage lengths are available on request. The coil format — compact or concertina — and the number of clips used (3-clip or 5-clip) affect deployed length and blade density per metre.

3. Which blade types are offered, and what are the core wire dimensions?

Available blade types are BTO-10, BTO-12, BTO-16, BTO-18, BTO-22, BTO-28, BTO-30, CBT-60, and CBT-65. BTO blades suit a wide range of standard security applications; CBT blades carry a more aggressive profile for high-security or military-grade perimeters. Core wire diameter is 2.5 mm – 3.0 mm; blade thickness is 0.5 mm – 0.6 mm (±0.05 mm). Blade length and spacing can be tailored to your specific security level.

4. What coating options are available, and which suits harsh environments?

Three surface treatments are offered:

• Hot-dip galvanized steel — the standard option, suitable for most outdoor settings.
• Stainless steel (304 or 316 grade) — recommended for coastal, high-humidity, or corrosive industrial environments.
• PVC-coated steel — a polymer layer over galvanized wire for extra corrosion protection and a lower visual profile in public or residential settings.

With the appropriate coating, service life reaches 10–20 years with minimal maintenance.
